Ithaka Ventures participates in transformation. We work with entrepreneurs, leaders, boards and organisations at moments when something fundamental needs to change.
Moments when the existing logic no longer seems sufficient. When an organisation has lost some of its direction or energy. When the world outside is changing faster than the world inside. Or when something new is emerging, but is not yet clearly visible.
The destination gives direction. The journey creates transformation.
Ithaka is the island Odysseus spends years trying to reach. In Cavafy's poem, its greatest gift is not the arrival but the journey — and the traveller who returns changed by it. Transformation is rarely linear either: it holds uncertainty, encounters, setbacks and discoveries, including moments when the destination itself must be reconsidered.
That is the work we take part in, from wherever we can be most useful.

Sense what is really happening.
Not everything that matters can be measured before it matters. Where is the energy? Where is it blocked? What has an organisation lost connection with, and what wants to emerge?
Act by connecting.
People who would not normally meet. Ideas from unrelated industries. Strategy with identity, talent with opportunity, insight with execution. We bring together what needs to come together.
Cross-pollinate deliberately.
We are not industry specialists. Patterns obvious in one world are invisible in another; ideas that are ordinary in one system can be transformative in the next.
The journey changes the traveller.
Transformation is not only what an organisation builds. It is who it becomes along the way — and that is part of the return.
